Omron E3ZM Photoelectric Sensor – Stainless Steel Housing
The Omron E3ZM Photoelectric Sensor is a compact industrial sensing device designed for hygienic and washdown-intensive environments. This series belongs to Omron’s photoelectric sensor portfolio and is engineered specifically for food, beverage, and packaging machinery requiring high durability and cleanliness. The E3ZM series features stainless steel construction and advanced protective design to ensure reliable detection under harsh cleaning conditions. This product is manufactured by Omron and categorized under Omron Photoelectric Sensors used in industrial automation systems.
The Omron E3ZM Series Photoelectric Sensor is built with a SUS316L stainless steel housing, providing exceptional resistance to detergents, disinfectants, and high-pressure jet water cleaning commonly found in food-processing environments. The series delivers up to 200 times higher chemical durability compared to standard resin-bodied sensors when tested in alkaline cleaning solutions. It is the world’s first square metal photoelectric sensor to feature an IP69K protective structure (DIN 40050-9), making it suitable for high-temperature, high-pressure washdown applications. The hygienic design minimizes indentations to reduce dust and water accumulation, while laser-marked model and lot numbers eliminate label contamination risks. The lineup includes BGS reflective models and through-beam models with built-in slits, ensuring stable detection and suitability for demanding hygiene-critical industrial automation applications.
