Omron E3ZM-V66 Photoelectric Sensor
Omron E3ZM-V66 is a connector-based diffuse-reflective mark sensor with a specified sensing distance of 12 ±2 mm. A white LED covering 450 to 700 nm provides the optical source used to distinguish the target mark, while the NPN output transfers the resulting switching state to compatible PLC and machine-control inputs. The operating mode is established through the teaching sequence, allowing the sensing response to be configured around the required mark. The sensor runs from 10 to 30 VDC and uses an M8 4-pin connector instead of fixed cable wiring. Power consumption is specified at 750 mW maximum, and response time is 50 μs maximum. The E3ZM-V66 provides connector integration within the high-speed mark sensor range across Omron Sensing Products.

The Omron E3ZM-V66 Photoelectric Sensor provides diffuse-reflective mark sensing at a specified 12 ±2 mm distance. A white LED covering wavelengths from 450 to 700 nm supplies the optical source, while the NPN output communicates the switching state to compatible machine-control circuitry. Load supply voltage is specified up to 30 VDC with a maximum load current of 100 mA and residual voltage of 2 V. The unit operates from 10 to 30 VDC and consumes up to 750 mW. Rather than using a conventional fixed output-mode switch, its operating response is established through the teaching sequence. Operate or reset time is specified at 50 μs maximum. An M8 4-pin connector provides removable electrical connection, while three indicators show operation, stability, and teaching status.
Where an Omron NPN mark sensor needs connector wiring and very fast switching, the relevant model is the E3ZM-V66. Its 12 ±2 mm optical distance matches the V61 arrangement, but the M8 interface offers a different installation method from the fixed 2 m cable version. Operating temperature spans -40 to 60°C, with storage from -40 to 70°C. Reversed supply polarity, load short-circuit, and reversed output-polarity protection are specified. SUS316, PMMA, PES, fluoro rubber, and PVC are among the listed materials. For a related NPN configuration using a conventional 2 m pre-wired cable, see E3ZM-V61 2M.
