Leuze GSU 14D/66D.31-S12 ultrasonic fork sensor features a principle of physics that utilizes ultrasonics to detect both non-transparent and transparent labels. With a label width of at least 10 mm and a minimum label gap of 2 mm, this sensor can handle both transparent and non-transparent mediums. It has a special version that includes an extended carriage for added convenience.
The IGSU 14D/6.3-S12 sensor operates on a supply voltage of 12 to 30 VDC with an open-circuit current of 0 to 80 mA. It has one teach input with a DC voltage type, a switching voltage of high ≥8V and low ≤ 2 V, and an input resistance of 15,000 Ω. The active switching state is high and it has two digital switching outputs with a DC voltage type, a switching current maximum of 100 mA, and a switching voltage of high ≥(UB-2V) and low ≤ 2 V. The load capacity is 0.5 µF and the switching element is a transistor push-pull.
The switching output 1 principle is a switching signal on the label, while the switching output 2 principle is a switching signal in the label gap. The response time is 0.2 ms with a readiness delay of 300 ms. The maximum band speed during teach-in is 50 m/min. The GSU 14D/66D.31-S12 Label Gap Sensor has one connector with a thread size of M12, a 5-pin A-coded male type, and a horizontal plug outlet parallel to belt movement.
The design is a fork with a mouth width of 4 mm and a mouth depth of 68.5 mm. The dimensions are 20.7 mm x 48.2 mm x 271 mm with a die-cast zinc metal housing and a net weight of 270 g. It has a black and red housing color with a mounting thread and through-hole mounting type of fastening. It features three LED lights and teach buttons for operational controls, with the function of static teach on the background and mark. The ambient temperature for operation is 0 to 60°C and the storage temperature is -40 to 70°C, with an IP 65 degree of protection and c UL US certifications.
