Omron OS32C-CBBP Safety Laser Scanner

Omron OS32C-CBBP is an I/O block for OS32C safety laser scanners with rear cable access, designed for installations where power, safety I/O, and communication wiring are routed behind the scanner. Rear-entry wiring can simplify integration on machine frames, guarded areas, and equipment with sufficient clearance behind the unit. Compatible OS32C scanners support a 270° detection field, 0.4° angular resolution, Type 3 classification, PLd/Safety Category 3 performance, and dual PNP OSSD safety outputs. The I/O block provides the connection layout; the scanner determines the protective range and sensing performance. The OS32C-CBBP belongs to the OS32C Series within the safety scanner component range from Omron machine safety components.

The Omron OS32C-CBBP Safety Laser Scanner I/O Block is designed for compatible OS32C installations that require cable access from the back of the scanner assembly. Rear-entry wiring can simplify installation where the scanner is mounted on a machine frame, panel, or guarded structure with suitable space behind the unit. The connected OS32C platform can support a 270° detection field, 0.4° angular resolution, Type 3 classification, PLd/Safety Category 3 performance, and dual PNP OSSD safety outputs. The I/O block provides the connection arrangement, while the connected sensor and scanner configuration determine the actual protective range, object resolution, and monitoring-zone behavior.

OS32C-CBBP is therefore selected mainly by cable-entry direction, scanner compatibility, wiring access, and service requirements. The rear connection layout can keep side areas clear for nearby machine components and can make cable routing more direct in suitable installations. The OS32C system uses an 18-pin power connection together with an M12 communication interface, so the I/O block forms part of the overall electrical and communication layout. It does not independently change scanner response time, detection capability, or safety-zone distance. For installations where cable access from the side is more convenient than rear entry, see the OS32C-CBSP1 I/O block with left-side cable access.
