Omron OS32C-BP-DM Safety Laser Scanner
Omron OS32C-BP-DM is a Type 3 safety laser scanner with a maximum operating range of 3 m, designed for configurable machine guarding, access protection, and area monitoring. A 270° detection field provides wide coverage around equipment, while 0.4° angular resolution supports precise safety-zone definition. Minimum object resolution can be configured at 30, 40, 50, or 70 mm, and up to 70 monitoring-zone sets can combine one safety zone with two warning zones. The Omron OS32C-BP-DM Safety Laser Scanner provides configurable machine guarding and area monitoring with a maximum safety-zone range of 3 m. Its 270° detection field gives broad coverage around machinery, while 0.4° angular resolution supports precise protective-zone boundaries. Minimum object resolution can be set to 30, 40, 50, or 70 mm, with the safety range reaching 1.75 m, 2.5 m, or 3.0 m according to the selected setting. Up to 70 monitoring-zone sets can combine one safety zone with two warning zones, helping the scanner adapt to different operating conditions or machine states.
The scanner is classified as Type 3 and supports PLd/Safety Category 3 applications with two PNP OSSD outputs for protective switching. Auxiliary and warning outputs provide additional status information. Configurable ON-to-OFF response time ranges from 80 to 680 ms, and normal operation is rated at up to 5 W. Connection uses an 18-pin power interface together with an M12 communication interface for system integration.
