Featuring a through-beam optical system built into a T-shaped body, this sensor offers a fixed 5 mm slot width and can detect opaque objects as small as 2 Γ— 0.8 mm. Its GaAs infrared LED light source (940 nm) ensures stable and accurate sensing, making it suitable for applications such as part detection, edge counting, or small-component presence confirmation.

The sensor operates on 5 to 24 VDC ( ripple), and provides an NPN open collector output with a Dark-ON switching logic. It comes with a pre-wired 2-meter cable and consumes only 12 mA max., making it ideal for space-saving installations and low-power systems. The built-in red light indicator responds to incident light, simplifying setup and operational diagnostics.

Constructed from durable polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), the EE-SX772 2M withstands harsh industrial environments while maintaining a lightweight profile.
