Delta VFD ED Series – Elevator Drive

The Delta VFD ED Series is an elevator drive developed for controlling the motion of passenger and cargo elevator systems. Designed as an advanced extension of Delta’s elevator drive technology, the Delta ED Series Elevator Drive supports both asynchronous and synchronous motors and provides precise control of elevator starting, acceleration, deceleration, leveling, and stopping. Its control architecture includes load-attached auto-tuning, starting torque adjustment, load compensation, multiple encoder support, and precise elevator motion sequencing to improve ride performance. The ED Series also incorporates dual-output protection, emergency operation with UPS support, and a built-in Safe Torque Off (STO) function for elevator safety requirements. Models are available across different motor capacities and 230 V and 460 V classes for varying elevator drive requirements.
