Omron OS32C-ECBL 05M Safety Laser Scanner

Omron OS32C-ECBL-05M is a 5 m communication cable for OS32C safety laser scanners, designed where the configuration or monitoring point is farther from the scanner. Its longer reach supports cleaner routing across larger machines, guarded production areas, and installations where the communication path cannot remain close to the sensor. The cable connects through the OS32C M12 communication interface and remains separate from the power and safety I/O connection. Compatible scanners support Type 3 operation, PLd/Safety Category 3 performance, a 270° detection field, 0.4° angular resolution, and configurable monitoring zones. The OS32C-ECBL-05M belongs to the OS32C Series within the scanner communication accessory range from Omron machine safety products.

The Omron OS32C-ECBL-05M Safety Laser Scanner Communication Cable provides a 5 m connection for configuration and monitoring of compatible OS32C safety laser scanners. The additional cable length is useful on larger machines or installations where the programming device, network point, or monitoring interface is positioned farther from the scanner. It connects through the OS32C M12 communication interface and is kept separate from the 18-pin power and safety I/O connection. Compatible OS32C systems support Type 3 operation, PLd/Safety Category 3 performance, a 270° detection field, 0.4° angular resolution, configurable safety and warning zones, and dual PNP OSSD safety outputs.

OS32C-ECBL-05M is selected mainly by communication distance, routing path, and installation layout rather than by scanner sensing performance. The cable does not alter protective range, minimum object resolution, response time, or monitoring-zone configuration because those characteristics belong to the connected scanner or sensor block. Its 5 m length gives installers more flexibility when the communication point cannot be placed close to the scanner, while still keeping configuration and monitoring wiring separate from the main power connection. This gives installers extra flexibility during commissioning, diagnostics, and routine maintenance access. For compact installations where a shorter communication route is sufficient and excess cable should be minimized, see the OS32C-ECBL-02M 2 m communication cable.
