Omron OS32C-SN-4M Safety Laser Scanner
Omron OS32C-SN-4M is a replacement sensor block for the 4 m OS32C safety laser scanner platform, designed for extended-range systems where the sensing section requires service or replacement. It supports a 270° detection field and 0.4° angular resolution for configurable machine and area protection. Minimum object resolution can be set to 30, 40, 50, or 70 mm, with the maximum safety-zone range reaching 4 m at the appropriate setting. The modular sensor-block design allows compatible I/O components and cable-entry arrangements to remain in the installation when suitable. The Omron OS32C-SN-4M Safety Laser Scanner Sensor Block provides the sensing section for the extended 4 m OS32C platform. Its 270° detection field supports wide machine and area monitoring, while 0.4° angular resolution helps define accurate protective boundaries. Minimum object resolution can be configured at 30, 40, 50, or 70 mm. The corresponding safety-zone range reaches 1.75 m at 30 mm, 2.5 m at 40 mm, 3.0 m at 50 mm, and up to 4.0 m at 70 mm. Up to 70 monitoring-zone sets can combine one safety zone with two warning zones for changing machine conditions.
OS32C-SN-4M is supplied as a replacement sensing block rather than as a complete scanner with I/O hardware. This modular arrangement allows the sensing section to be replaced while compatible connection components and cable-entry orientation can remain in service when appropriate. The associated OS32C system supports Type 3, PLd/Safety Category 3 applications and dual PNP OSSD safety outputs through the complete scanner assembly. The 4 m version is particularly relevant when the protected area requires greater reach than the standard 3 m platform. This supports extended-range maintenance while preserving compatible wiring and installation hardware.
