Omron OS32C-SN Safety Laser Scanner
Omron OS32C-SN is a replacement sensor block for the 3 m OS32C safety laser scanner platform, designed for maintenance when the sensing section needs replacement while compatible connection hardware can remain in service. The sensor block supports a 270° detection field and 0.4° angular resolution for machine guarding, access protection, and area monitoring. Minimum object resolution can be configured at 30, 40, 50, or 70 mm, with the safety-zone range reaching up to 3 m depending on the selected setting. The OS32C platform supports Type 3, PLd/Safety Category 3 applications. The OS32C-SN belongs to the OS32C Series within the replacement safety scanner range from Omron industrial safety components.

The Omron OS32C-SN Safety Laser Scanner Sensor Block provides the sensing section for the 3 m OS32C safety laser scanner platform. It supports a 270° detection field and 0.4° angular resolution for machine guarding, access protection, and configurable area monitoring. Minimum object resolution can be set to 30, 40, 50, or 70 mm, with the safety-zone range reaching 1.75 m at 30 mm resolution, 2.5 m at 40 mm, and 3.0 m at 50 or 70 mm. The platform supports up to 70 monitoring-zone sets containing one safety zone and two warning zones for different machine operating conditions.
OS32C-SN is intended as a replacement sensor block rather than a complete ready-to-wire scanner assembly. This allows the sensing section to be serviced while compatible I/O and cable-entry components can remain in the installation when suitable. The associated OS32C system is designed for Type 3, PLd/Safety Category 3 applications and supports dual PNP OSSD safety outputs through the complete scanner arrangement. The sensor block is therefore most relevant where the sensing portion needs replacement without changing the existing connection layout. This supports targeted maintenance without replacing unaffected parts of the existing scanner installation. For systems requiring the same replacement-sensor approach with a longer protective distance, see the OS32C-SN-4M 4 m sensor block.
