The Omron EE-SPX742 is a compact grooved photomicrosensor designed for precision detection using a 3.6 mm slot-width through-beam configuration. With a modulated light source, it ensures stable sensing by minimizing the effects of ambient light, making it ideal for high-accuracy part detection in narrow spaces.

This sensor operates in Dark-ON mode and provides an NPN voltage output, with low residual voltage of just 0.4 V at 10 mA load. It consumes only 15 mA on average, peaking at 50 mA during operation. A red LED indicator provides quick status feedback, and the connector-type design allows for easy maintenance or sensor replacement.

Housed in durable polycarbonate and rated IP50, the EE-SPX742 operates reliably in temperatures from -10°C to 55°C. Its shock and vibration resistance make it well-suited for use in compact automation equipment, sorting systems, or PCB detection setups.
