Omron E3AS-HL500LMN 2M is a high-precision photoelectric sensor designed for short-range object detection with excellent stability, even under bright lighting or on low-reflectivity surfaces. It uses a Class 1 red laser (660 nm) and supports a configurable sensing range starting at 35 mm. This sensor is ideal for industrial environments requiring accurate sensing on dark, shiny, or transparent objects.
The sensor includes a separate digital amplifier and is equipped with an NPN output. It operates on a 10 to 30 VDC Class 2 power supply and supports a total load current of up to 100 mA. A 2-meter pre-wired cable is standard, and built-in protection features include reverse polarity, output reverse polarity, and short-circuit protection. Its fast and selectable response time options (1.5 ms, 10 ms, 50 ms) make it adaptable for different machine speeds and response requirements.
Operational convenience is enhanced with a bright OLED display and status indicators for power, communication, and operation (orange LED).
