Omron EE-SPY411 Photomicrosensor
Omron EE-SPY411 is a horizontal convergent-reflective photomicrosensor designed for close-range target sensing from 2 to 5 mm. Its optical arrangement concentrates the active sensing area within the specified range, while a modulated signal supports stable operation around the target position. The sensor operates from 5 to 24 VDC and provides an NPN output with Light-ON switching. Average current consumption is specified at 15 mA maximum, while peak consumption reaches 50 mA maximum. The output supports up to 80 mA load current, and a special connector provides the electrical interface. A red indicator gives visual operating status. The EE-SPY411 supports the horizontal convergent sensor range across Omron Convergent Sensor Products.

The Omron EE-SPY411 Photomicrosensor uses horizontal convergent-reflective sensing across a specified 2 to 5 mm range. Its convergent optical arrangement establishes a short sensing zone close to the sensor, allowing objects positioned within that area to influence the returned optical signal. The unit operates from 5 to 24 VDC and provides an NPN output with Light-ON switching. Average current consumption is specified at 15 mA max., while peak current reaches 50 mA. The output supports a maximum load current of 80 mA, with residual voltage stated as 1.0 V max. at an 80 mA load and 0.4 V max. at 10 mA. A red light indicator provides visual operating status, while the modulated optical signal supports stable short-range sensing. Electrical connection is provided through a special connector.
The EE-SPY411 uses a polycarbonate case and a polybutylene terephthalate holder and operates from -10°C to 55°C. Storage temperature is specified from -25°C to 65°C, while operating humidity extends from 5% to 85%. Its vibration specification covers 10 to 50 Hz at 1.5 mm double amplitude for two hours along each X, Y, and Z direction. Shock resistance is rated at 500 m/s² three times in each direction, and the enclosure carries an IP50 rating. The horizontal orientation is useful where a 2 to 5 mm sensing zone must face laterally within a compact mechanism. For the vertical version using the same sensing principle, range, NPN output, and Light-ON operation, see the Omron EE-SPY412.
