The Omron NX-MD6256-5 Machine Automation Controller Digital I/O Unit combines 16 NPN/PNP-compatible digital inputs with 16 PNP outputs for machine-control applications requiring integrated input and output handling. It supports Switching Synchronous and Free-Run I/O refreshing for flexible signal processing. Output response is 0.5 ms ON and 1.0 ms OFF, while input response can be set from 20 μs to 400 μs for different control requirements. Operating from a 24 VDC supply with 5.80 W power consumption, the module supports high-speed industrial signal processing. The NX-MD6256-5 combines digital input and output functions within the PLC input and output range supporting Omron machine automation.
