The Omron NX-EC0132 Machine Automation Controller Position Interface Unit provides 1 encoder channel with a 4 MHz line-receiver input for acquiring high-frequency incremental encoder signals. The module also includes 3 NPN external inputs for additional position-related signals within the control system. Synchronous I/O, Free-Run, and Task-Period Prioritized refreshing provide multiple methods for transferring acquired data according to the application timing requirement. With 1/1 I/O mapping, the NX-EC0132 supports high-speed encoder feedback within modular NX architectures. Its position-measurement capability complements the high-speed PLC position control range available for Omron motion automation systems.
