Omron E3FA-TP21 is a PNP through-beam photoelectric sensor with a 20 m sensing distance and M12 connectors. It comes as a set of a separate emitter (E3FA-TP21-L) and receiver (E3FA-TP21-D), detects any object that breaks the beam between them, and the connectors let you replace a sensor head while keeping the field cable in place.
