The Omron CP1W-40EDT1 PLC Expansion I/O Unit adds digital output capacity to compatible Programmable Logic Controller systems used for machine automation. Its output section provides 16 sourcing transistor outputs, allowing controller logic to electronically switch compatible DC field devices as part of automated machine sequences. The module consumes 160 mA at 5 V and integrates with the CP1W expansion architecture when additional sourcing output points are required beyond the controller's existing capacity. This allows machine I/O to be expanded while retaining the same PLC platform and control architecture. The CP1W-40EDT1 extends CP1W digital output capability and forms part of the sourcing transistor PLC output range supporting Omron machine automation.
