The Omron CJ1W-CRM21 PLC CompoNet Master Unit connects a CJ-series Programmable Logic Controller with distributed devices through a CompoNet industrial network. Supporting up to 128 slave nodes, the module provides a communication layer for collecting and exchanging I/O information across a distributed control architecture. High-speed I/O refresh supports responsive field communication, while data link and message communication functions enable information exchange between the controller and connected network devices. This architecture can simplify distributed I/O expansion where field devices are located away from the main PLC panel. The CJ1W-CRM21 extends CJ1W network capability and forms part of the distributed PLC communication range associated with Omron industrial automation.
