The Omron NX-ECS212 Machine Automation Controller SSI Position Interface Unit provides 2 RS-422-A channels for acquiring absolute position data from compatible encoders. Each channel supports a maximum data length of 32 bits, while the integrated encoder power supply provides 24 VDC at 0.3 A per channel. Its dual-channel configuration allows position information from 2 encoder sources to be incorporated into the same NX control architecture. Push-in terminals provide the connection interface for system wiring. The NX-ECS212 increases SSI position-feedback capacity within modular NX systems and complements the PLC position control range used with Omron motion automation applications.
